STEP 2 EXPLANATION | She then further explains that after Moses had died he appointed a new successor called Joshua, a man who loved God to lead the children of Israel into the promised land | Pupils pay attention and participates |
STEP 3 DEMONSTRATION | Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Joshua and the children of Israel bringing down the walls of Jericho - How God had told Joshua they would defeat the people living in Jericho - How two spies were sent to go and check out the land - How the spies were hidden by a prostitute called Rahab who told them to spare her and her family when they come to destroy Jericho - How the spies had returned to Joshua to tell him everything they need to know about the walls and the people of Jericho - How Joshua had gone to God to ask for help - How God had told Joshua and the children of Israel to walk around the wall for 7 days and for seven times on the 7th day carrying the ark of covenant. On the 7th day they were to blow their trumpet and make a great shout - How after doing all God had said the walls of Jericho came crashing down and the children of Israel led by Joshua entered Jericho and conquered it completely | Pupils pay attention and participate |
