STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re happy and you know it song;

She explains that a boat is a vehicle we use in moving people and goods from place to place on the water

 

She tells them that most boats come in brown colour

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of people on a boat using a paddle to row the boat

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream
