STEP 1 INTRODUCTION | The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re happy and you know it song; She explains that a bus is a vehicle we use in moving people and goods from place to place on the road.
She tells them that most buses come in yellow colour | The pupils pay attention and participate |
STEP 2 EXPLANATION | The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of school children in a yellow bus
She also explains the wordings one after the other | Pupils listen |
STEP 3 RECITATION | The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.
The wheels on the bus go round and round
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep
The people on the bus go chatter, chatter, chatter
The babies on the bus go wah, wah, wah
