INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Collection of poems and rhymes book, picture of the rain, real objects of umbrellas and rain coats

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the weather song;

She explains that rain is a weather whereby water falls from the sky to the ground

She tells them that materials like umbrellas and rain coats are used to protect ourselves if we find ourselves in the rain

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of rain pouring on some children as they fled to safety

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Rain rain go away

Come again another day

Rain rain go away

Little children want to play
