INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of bananas, real bananas

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the fruit song and introduces the topic and explains that a banana is a fruit that we eat and it nourishes our body

 

She explains that it comes in two forms: The one we peel and eat called bananas and the one that is fried in oil called plantain

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the bananas in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of bananas there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the banana with yellow colour

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a banana

  1. How many bananas are in the activity book?
  2. Colour the banana

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
