INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of bananas, real bananas

STEP 1 INTRODUCTION | The teacher uses the fruit song and introduces the topic and explains that a banana is a fruit that we eat and it nourishes our body
She explains that it comes in two forms: The one we peel and eat called bananas and the one that is fried in oil called plantain | Pupils pay attention |
STEP 2 IDENTIFICATION | The teacher shows them the bananas in their activity book and asks them to identify them
She then asks them to count the number of bananas there are

STEP 3 COLOURING | The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the banana with yellow colour |
