INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of rectangles, objects that are rectangular in shape

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES

 PRESENTATION TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY STEP 1INTRODUCTION -The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that Rectangle is a shape that has four sides. She shows them objects like doors, books, table top, bed that are rectangular in shape Pupils pay attention STEP 2IDENTIFICATION The teacher shows them the rectangles in their activity book and asks them to identify themShe then asks them to count the number of rectangles there are Pupils participate STEP 3COLOURING The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the rectangles with colour black

EVALUATION:    1. Identify rectangles

1. How many rectangles are in the activity book?
2. Colour the rectangles

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
