  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Collection of poems and rhymes book, pictures of clothes with pockets, samples of items like keys, money, pencils, etc

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the personal belongings song;

She explains that a pocket is a part of the cloth where small items like keys, money etc are kept

 

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a real pocket.

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Lucy Locket lost her pocket,
Kitty Fisher found it;
Not a penny was there in it,
Only ribbon round it.
