INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of circles, objects that are circular in shape

 PRESENTATION TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY STEP 1INTRODUCTION The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that circle is round in shape.She tells them that a circle has no edgesShe shows them objects like coins, tyres etc that are circular in shape Pupils pay attention STEP 2IDENTIFICATION The teacher shows them the circles in their activity book and asks them to identify themShe then asks them to count the number of circles there are Pupils participate STEP 3COLOURING The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the circles with colour blue
