SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Discuss the simple meaning of bonds
  2. List and discuss some traits that strengthen healthy bonds among children

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: picture books, sweets, biscuits, games, pictures showing how to form bonds, story books, pupils as learning resource, playground, balls

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the baby shark song and introduces the topic and explains that bonds is when we become friends with other people

Pupils pay attention

EXPLANATION

She gives examples of ways we can form bonds

-      By respecting other people’s feelings

-      Playing games together

-      Sharing your toys with them

-      Being helpful to others in good ways

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

PRACTICALS

She demonstrates some of the ways we can form bonds with others e.g respecting other people’s feelings, playing games and sports with others etc

 

The teacher takes the pupils to the playground to play together,  encourages respect, teamwork and sharing while doing that

Pupils pay attention and participate
