STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses Be careful little eyes what you can see song to introduce the topic.

She explains what temptation is- It is a strong desire to do something

She also explains the word fasting- It is to go without eating for a while which usually begins early in the morning

EXPLANATION

She then further explains that after Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river, He was led into the wilderness where he fasted for 40 days and nights.

DEMONSTRATION

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Jesus tempted by satan

-      How Jesus became hungry and satan told him o turn stones into bread

-      satan tempted Jesus 3 times

-      How Jesus boldly refused and told him that we are not expected to live by bread alone but by obeying God’s Word

-      How satan told him to jump down from a high mountain because angels were watching over him

-      How Jesus boldly refused and told him we are not allowed to tempt God

-      How satan told Jesus to bow down and worship him

-      How Jesus refused saying we are only allowed to bow down and worship God

-      How Jesus was led away from the wilderness by angels who ministered to Him
