SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Discuss the simple meaning of emotion
  2. List some actions expressing emotions
  3. Identify some ways we can show friendly behaviours with their friends

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: picture books, sweets, biscuits, games, pictures showing different emotions, story books, pupils as learning resource

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the baby shark song and introduces the topic and explains that emotion is when we express our feelings about something with an action

EXPLANATION

She gives examples of ways we can express our emotion

-      Crying

-      Smiling

-      Tickling

-      Hugging

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

She demonstrates some of the emotions and also asks the pupil to do the same

 

The teacher demonstrates some ways we can show friendly behaviours to friends like saying sorry when they are crying and give a hug when they are sad
