SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify a Carrot
  2. Count the carrots
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of carrots, real carrots

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the fruit song and introduces the topic and explains that a carrot is a fruit/vegetable that we eat and it nourishes our body

She explains the various foods like fried rice, salad etc that we can use carrot to prepare

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the carrots in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of carrots there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the carrot with orange colour

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a family

  1. How many members are in each family in the activity book?
  2. Colour the members of the family

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
