SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Discuss the simple meaning of honesty
  2. Explain why it is good to be honest

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: picture books, sweets, biscuits, games, pictures showing honesty, story books

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the Magic words song and introduces the topic and explains that honesty is when we say the truth

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

She explains why we should always be honest:

-      To save us from punishment

-      To show that we are good children

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

STORY-TELLING

She tells the children a story about why it is good to be honest

 

She then ask the children to share with the class what they learnt from the story

Pupils pay attention and participate

 

EVALUATION:    1. _________ is when we say the truth. (appreciation, honesty)

  1. When we are honest, we are saved from _________. (punishment, heaven)
  2. It is good to be honest. (Yes/No)

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
