SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify a family and its members
  2. Count the number of members in the family
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different families

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the family song(Johnny, Johnny, Yes papa) and introduces the topic and explains that a family is a group of people related by blood

She also explains the various members of the family

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the members of the family in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of each members in each different family.

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the members of each family.

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a family

  1. How many members are in each family in the activity book?
  2. Colour the members of the family

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
