SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify clothes as what we wear on our body
  2. Count the clothes
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different kinds of clothes

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher sings a song about clothes and introduces the topic and explains that clothes are worn on our body in order to protect our nakedness

She also explains that clothes differs for male and female and proceeds to show them clothes worn by males and females

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher asks the children to identify the different form of clothes provided in the activity book

She then proceeds to count how many of them there are

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to colour the clothes

The pupils colour the clothes with different colours

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify clothes

  1. How many clothes are in the activity book?
  2. Colour the clothes

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
