SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify the pet fish
  2. Count the number of fish
  3. Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUE: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of a bowl/river filled with fishes

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher explains that a fish is an animal that lives in the water

She also tells the children that fish can be kept as pet in an aquarium and eaten as food

Pupils listen and pay rapt attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows the children the petfish in the activity book and they count the number of fish

Pupils participate

STEP 3

COLOURING

The teacher shares out the pupils activity book and helps them to colour with different colours

The pupils colour the pet fish

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify the pet fish

  1. Count the fish
  2. Colour the fish with different colours

CLASS-WORK: Colour the pet fish with different colours

CONCLUSION: The teacher marks their books and commends them positively
