  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with a song; If you’re happy and you know it…………and tells them that the sun is an object in the sky which shines only in the daytime.

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a drawn Sun.

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun,
please shine down on me.
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun,
hiding behind the tree.
These little children are asking you
to please come out so we can play with you.
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun.
Please shine down on me.
