RETAILERS

They are the last link in the chain of distribution, retailers are those who buy

goods form the wholesaler and sell to the final consumer.

 

FUNCTIONS OF THE RETAILERS TO THE WHOLESALERS

  1. They inform the wholesalers on the type of goods consumers want thereby preventing waste of resources.
  2. They buy in small quantity from the wholesaler
  3. The retailer represents the wholesalers in areas where the wholesaler is not preeminent
  4. The retailer helps in the quick movement of goods
