THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST
A. Synoptic Accounts:
• Matthew 28:1–8 – Earthquake, angel rolled stone, women meet risen Jesus.
• Mark 16:1–8 – Women find empty tomb, angel tells them Jesus is risen.
• Luke 24:1–11 – Women meet two angels, disciples doubt.
B. Role of Women:
• First to visit tomb, received the good news, and told the disciples.
• Played key roles as witnesses.
C. Similarities and Differences:
• Similar: Women visited the tomb, the tomb was empty, Jesus was risen.
• Differences: Number of angels, women named, message details.
D. Importance of the Resurrection:
• Proof of Jesus’ divinity.
