People can access your product and services all over the world any Hi of the day or night. This means there are no time barriers once you are in the World Wide Web.

 

 

Navigating Through Websites (Practical Work)

Using any web browser software navigate the following web sites: www fmegovng.org,www.waeconline.org,www.itbeQinswithvou.org,www.servenicieria.com,www.radioniqeria.net, and www.qtvniqeria.com.

  1. Are their home pages the same?
  2. Which programming language in your opinion is used to link the pages together and why?

SOFTWARE FOR WEB DEVELOPMENT

There are many softwares for web development. They include Adobe Dream weaver, Studio 5, Web easy Professional, Web method Microsoft FrontPage.

 

 

Microsoft FrontPage is an application program for developing maintaining web. It is a web creation and management tool which requires no programming knowledge for website development.

 

It also has feature What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) interface.

 

This enables the user to see an accurate representation of the web page as it she creates and edits the page without the need to open it in a browser.

 

HOW TO DESIGN A WEBSITE USING MICROSOFT FRONTPAGE

Start up your Microsoft FrontPage software and click on File then select New.

 

Select Blank page to start design your website.

 

Design your website.

 

Remember to save all your web pages in the folder My Webs located at: C./Documents and Settings \*user*\My Documents/My Webs.

 

When you have completed designing your webside, slick on File, then select Open Site and then you will need to find and select the My Webs folder in your computer.

 

You will now see a Folder list to the left of your design window which will show all of the files in your My Webs folder.

 

Click on File, then select Publish Site. This will display the Remote Web Site Properties and select the FTP option. Enter the publish destination as: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name). Then click OK

 

You will then be prompted to enter the Name: and Password

 

FrontPage will establish a connection to your server which will open the Publish Web window. Simply select files that you would like to publish then click Public Web Site. Your website files will be published to the server.

 

*If changes are not visible after you have uploaded new content to your website, please try clearing your browser cache or temporary internet files and reload the page again.
