ORGANIZATIONAL CHARTS

An organizational chart shows the internal structure of an organization

or company. The employees and positions are represented by boxes or

other shapes, sometimes including photos, contact information, email and

page links, icons and illustrations.

TYPES OF ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES

  1. Line structure: Line organizational structure is one of the simplest

types of organizational structures. Its authority flows from top to bottom.

Unlike other structures, specialized and supportive services do not take

place in these organizations. The chain of command and each department

head has control over their departments.

  1. FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: The activities of the

organization are structured according to the basic organic functions of

business undertaken by them. Under this structure, similar or related

activities are grouped together under each department

  1. Line and staff organizational structure: A line-staff organizational

structure attempts to render a large and complex enterprise more flexible

without sacrificing managerial authority.

organization’s work. It breeds departmental barriers and decentralizes

decision making to the level of the teamwork.
