PRACTICAL ON FARM ANIMAL DISEASE
Title: Farm Animal Disease Practical Session
Objective:
To observe and identify common diseases in farm animals and learn about ectoparasites affecting them.

i. Observation of live sick farm animals:
- Visit a veterinary clinic or animal hospital where sick farm animals are being treated.
- Observe different species of farm animals (e.g., cows, sheep, pigs, chickens) presenting with various symptoms of diseases.
- Take notes on the clinical signs observed, such as lethargy, coughing, diarrhea, lameness, or skin lesions.

ii. Observation and collection of ectoparasites:
- Visit a farm or pasture where farm animals are kept.
- Wear gloves for safety and hygiene.
- Use a magnifying glass to inspect the animals for ectoparasites such as ticks, lice, mites, or fleas.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for collecting ectoparasites, if applicable.
- Document the types of ectoparasites found and their locations on the animals.
