NOTE

PRACTICAL CODIFICATION OF MATERIALS IN A STORE

Below is an example of how materials in a store could be coded using a numerical codification system:

Consider a grocery store for instance with various categories of products. We'll use a numerical codification system to organize these products.

  1. Categories of Products:

   - 100: Fresh Produce

   - 200: Dairy Products

   - 300: Canned Goods

   - 400: Beverages

   - 500: Snacks

   - 600: Frozen Foods

   - 700: Bakery Items

   - 800: Household Essentials

   - 900: Personal Care Products

  1. Subcategories:

   - Fresh Produce:

     - 101: Fruits

     - 102: Vegetables

   - Dairy Products:

     - 201: Milk and Cream

     - 202: Cheese

     - 203: Yogurt

   - Canned Goods:

     - 301: Soups

     - 302: Vegetables

     - 303: Fruits

   - and so on...

  1. Individual Products:

   - Fresh Produce:

     - 10101: Apples

     - 10102: Bananas

     - 10103: Oranges

   - Dairy Products:

     - 20101: Whole Milk

     - 20102: Skim Milk

     - 20103: Cheddar Cheese

   - Canned Goods:

     - 30101: Chicken Noodle Soup

     - 30102: Tomato Soup

     - 30201: Green Beans

   - and so on...

By using this numerical codification system, each product in the store is assigned a unique code based on its category, subcategory, and specific item. This system allows for easy organization, retrieval, and management of products within the store.

EVALUATION: 1. Students should use these sample, but another type of codification to assign codes.

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the students positively
