DUTIES OF PEDESTRIANS

Pedestrians are people who travel on the road with their feet.

 

Here are some of the duties of pedestrians

  1. Ensure to face oncoming traffic
  2. walk on the side of the road
  3. if it is dark, wear colours that are bright and reflective in order to be seen

by motorists

  1. use the zebra crossing and pedestrian bridges if they are available while

crossing

  1. Look to the left and right repeatedly before crossing
  2. Observe and respect the road signs
  3. Respect the rights of other road users
