NOTE

INTER-COMMUNAL CONFLICTS

Inter communal conflict is described as conflict that occurs between

competing groups within a state, it may arise over disputes concerning

access to scarce resources or political power.

Such conflicts may lead to violent warfare between two or more defined

communities that are involved in the conflict.

 

CAUSES OF INTER-COMMUNAL CONFLICTS

  1. Boundary struggles and land disputes.
  2. Socio-economic and political power struggles.
  3. High level of Illiteracy.
  4. Frustration and aggressive displacement.
  5. Unequal distribution of wealth among the people.
  6. Domination and oppression by majority group and its collaborators.
