PERIOD 1 AND 2: Introduction to Expository Essays and Explaining a Process
INTRODUCTION
The teacher introduces expository essays and explains their purpose: to inform or explain. The teacher presents the process of writing an expository essay and discusses its features: introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. The teacher will read a model expository essay on "How to Prepare a Favorite Meal" and highlight the structure.
