• Define vocabulary related to traveling
• Identify and explain words associated with travel
• Use travel-related vocabulary in sentences correctly
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Discussion, role play, spelling drills

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Flashcards with travel-related terms, charts showing travel routes, pictures of transport modes (airplane, car, train)

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES:

  • STEP 1: The teacher introduces the topic of traveling, explaining the importance of travel and the various modes of transportation.
    Learners listen, observe, and participate in the discussion.
  • STEP 2: The teacher introduces vocabulary related to travel (e.g., airport, journey, adventure, car park, luggage, flight, ticket, boarding pass).
    Learners observe the words and their meanings, and engage in a discussion about their experiences with traveling.
  • STEP 3: The teacher gives examples of how these words are used in sentences, e.g., “We packed our luggage and went to the airport,” “The journey took three hours,” or “Our flight was delayed.”
    Learners create sentences using the vocabulary.
  • STEP 4: The teacher engages students in a spelling drill of key travel-related words.

EVALUATION:
• Define vocabulary related to travel.
• Give 5 examples of travel-related vocabulary.
• Complete a sentence: “We arrived at the ______ before our ______.”
• Identify 3 common modes of transportation.
• Match travel terms with their definitions (e.g., journey - a long trip).
• Fill in the blanks: “I bought a ______ for my ______ trip to London.”

CLASS-WORK:
• Write 10 sentences using 5 travel-related vocabulary words.
• Draw a simple map of a journey and label 5 travel-related terms.

ASSIGNMENT:
• Write a short paragraph (6-8 sentences) about your favorite trip, using at least 8 vocabulary words related to traveling.

CONCLUSION:
