INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES:

  • STEP 1: The teacher introduces the topic of government, explaining its role in society and the different branches of government (executive, legislative, judicial).
    Learners listen, observe, and participate in the discussion.
  • STEP 2: The teacher introduces vocabulary related to government (e.g., democracy, electoral commission, president, parliament, legislation, executive, judiciary, policy).
    Learners observe and participate in identifying these terms and their definitions.
  • STEP 3: The teacher gives examples of how these words are used in sentences, e.g., “The electoral commission supervises elections,” “The president is part of the executive branch,” or “Parliament debates new laws.”
    Learners practice using these terms in sentences.

EVALUATION:
• Define vocabulary related to government.
• Give 5 examples of words associated with government and politics.

• Identify the three branches of government.
• Match governmental terms with their definitions (e.g., democracy - a system of government by the people).

CLASS-WORK:
• Write 10 sentences using 5 government-related vocabulary words.
• Create a flowchart of the government structure, including the executive, legislature, and judiciary.

ASSIGNMENT:
• Write a short paragraph (6-8 sentences) on the role of government in society, using at least 8 vocabulary words related to governance.

CONCLUSION:
