BEVERAGES
Beverages are liquids specifically prepared for human consumption. They can range from water to various types of juices, sodas, teas, coffees, and alcoholic drinks. Essentially, anything you drink can be considered a beverage.
Types of beverages
There are two types of beverages, these includes;
Alcoholic beverages are drinks that contain ethanol (alcohol), a psychoactive substance. These beverages are produced through the fermentation of sugars by yeast or other microorganisms. Common types include: Beer, Wine, Spirits/Liquor.
Non-alcoholic beverages are drinks that do not contain ethanol. They encompass a wide variety of drinks, including: Water, Soft Drinks, Juices, Tea and Coffee, Milk.
Importance of beverages
Beverages play a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being by fulfilling several important functions in the body.
