THE PEACE TREATY OF 1886 AND ITS AFTERMATH
The Peace Treaty of 1886 refers to the Treaty of Bucharest, which ended the Serbo-Bulgarian War of 1885-1886. It was signed on March 3, 1886, between Serbia and Bulgaria. The treaty recognized the independence of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire and defined the border between Serbia and Bulgaria.
