SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify incidents in the Bible that reflect God’s protection.
  2. Explain God’s protection over the Israelites during their escape from Egypt.
  3. Describe how God protected Daniel in the lion’s den.
  4. Discuss God’s protection for all people at all times.
  5. Highlight the significance of identity cards in society.

STEP 1: Review

Revises previous topic on the Sovereignty of God through quick oral questions.

Respond actively, recalling key points from the previous lesson.

STEP 2: Introduction

Shows a chart with images of danger, asks: “Who protects us in these situations?” and introduces the topic.

Share ideas about protection and engage with the teacher’s questions.

STEP 3: Explanation

Explains how God protected:

a. Israelites at the Red Sea (Ex. 14:10–30)

Reads Bible passages, participates in discussion, takes turns sharing stories and asking questions.

 

b. Daniel in the lions’ den (Dan. 6:16–23)

  

 

c. Believers in general (Psalm 91)

  

 

d. The role of ID cards in society and our spiritual identity in God.

  

 

    

STEP 4: Note Taking

Writes summary and key points on the board.

Copy notes, underline key ideas, and ask for clarification if needed.

 

NOTE:
GOD’S PROTECTION

  • Red Sea (Ex. 14): God parted the sea for the Israelites.
  • Lions’ Den (Dan. 6): God shut the lions’ mouths to protect Daniel.
  • Psalm 91: God is our refuge and fortress—He protects all who trust in Him.
  • ID Cards: Represent physical identity; in Christ, we have spiritual identity that grants divine protection.

 

EVALUATION:

  1. Describe how God protected the Israelites at the Red Sea.
  2. What happened to Daniel in the lions’ den?
  3. What does Psalm 91 tell us about God’s protection?
  4. Who can enjoy God’s protection?
  5. How do ID cards relate to spiritual identity?

CLASSWORK: Same as evaluation questions (to be written and submitted)
CONCLUSION: The teacher marks classwork, provides feedback, and closes with a reminder to trust God’s protection.
