NOTE

PATTERN ADAPTATION AND ALTERATION

Adaptation of blouse pattern

To draft a basic blouse pattern, you typically need to measure the following body parts:

  1. Bust circumference
  2. Waist circumference
  3. Hip circumference
  4. Neck circumference
  5. Shoulder width
  6. Armhole circumference
  7. Back waist length
  8. Front waist length
  9. Shoulder to bust point
  10. Shoulder to waist
  11. Shoulder to hip

For drafting the basic collar, you would typically follow these steps:

  1. Measurements: Take the neck circumference measurement.
  2. Collar Width: Decide the width of the collar you want.
  3. Drafting:

   - Draw a straight line equal to the neck circumference measurement plus ease allowance for buttoning up.

   - Decide the height of the collar and draw a parallel line above the first line. This height could vary depending on the style of the collar.

   - Curve the corners to round them off or leave them squared based on preference.

  1. Adding Seam Allowance: Add seam allowance around the collar pattern.

EVALUATION: 1.  Identify 5 body parts for blouse pattern measurement

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the students positively
