PUBLIC CORPORATIONS
PUBLIC CORPORATION
A public corporation may be defined as a business organization, established, owned managed, and financed with tax payers money by the government of a country with the aim of making profit but it render essential service to the members of the public.
A public corporation is defined as government establishment or enterprise set up by an act of parliament to provide essential service such as electricity postal service, pipe borne water e.t.c.
Examples of public corporation include NATIONAL ELECTRIC POWER AUTHORITY (NEPA), NIGERIA POSTS AUTHORITY, NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION (NNPC) e.t.c.
