GOD THE CONTROLLER OF THE UNIVERSE

  1. God’s Control Over the Universe
  • Genesis 1:26–31: God gave man dominion over the earth, but God remains the ultimate controller of all creation.
  • Amos 9:1–6: God controls nature—earthquakes, rivers, skies—and no one can hide from Him.
  1. God’s Control Over Nations
  • Jeremiah 18:1–6: God is the Potter; nations are the clay. He builds and destroys according to His purpose. No nation is independent of God’s will.
  1. What If God Withdrew from the World?
  • Chaos, disorder, moral breakdown, destruction, and absence of purpose and protection.
  1. Human Dependence on God
  • Our breath, food, rain, growth, peace, and survival depend on God. Humans are not self-sufficient.

  2. Explain the messages in Genesis 1:26–31 and Amos 9:1–6.
  3. How does Jeremiah describe God’s authority over nations?
