- Safe Lifting and Manual Handling Practices: Train employees on proper lifting techniques, such as bending at the knees, keeping the back straight, and using mechanical aids like dollies or forklifts for heavy loads.
- Machinery and Equipment Safety: Provide training on the safe operation of machinery and equipment, ensure that guards and safety devices are in place and functioning correctly, and conduct regular maintenance and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Chemical Safety and Handling: Store hazardous chemicals properly in designated areas, provide adequate ventilation, and ensure that employees are trained in safe handling, storage, and disposal practices.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and communicate emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fires, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and chemical spills.
- Electrical Safety: Inspect electrical systems regularly, use equipment that is properly grounded and in good condition, and train employees on electrical safety procedures, such as avoiding overloading circuits and using lockout/tagout procedures when servicing equipment.
