  4. Outline how God’s judgement was fulfilled.

Explains:

a. Eli’s sons’ immoral actions (1 Sam. 2:12–25)

 

 

b. Samuel’s sons' corruption (1 Sam. 8:1–9)

 

 

c. God’s warning and judgement (1 Sam. 2:27–36; 3:1–18)

 

 

d. Fulfilment of judgement (1 Sam. 4:10–22)

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY (PART 1)

  • Eli’s sons (1 Sam. 2:12–25): Disrespected temple duties, committed immoral acts.
  • Samuel’s sons (1 Sam. 8:1–9): Took bribes, perverted justice.
  • God’s judgement (1 Sam. 2:27–36): Declared punishment on Eli's family.
  • Fulfilment (1 Sam. 4:10–22): Ark captured, sons died, Eli fell and died.

 

EVALUATION:

  1. What did Eli’s sons do wrong?
  2. Why were Samuel’s sons considered irresponsible?
  3. What judgement did God pronounce on Eli?
  4. How was the judgement fulfilled?
  5. What can happen in society when parents fail to discipline children?

CONCLUSION: The teacher marks classwork, discusses student responses, and concludes with a prayer for wisdom and responsible parenting in future homes.
