ATHLETICS - MIDDLE AND LONG DISTANCE RACES

Characteristics of Athletes

  1. Athletes possess high levels of physical conditioning specific to their sport, which may include cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, and coordination.
  2. Mastery of sport-specific skills and techniques is crucial. This includes technical aspects such as running form, swimming strokes, or basketball shooting techniques.
  3. Regular and systematic training is essential. This often includes practice sessions, strength training, conditioning, and drills to improve performance and minimize the risk of injury.

Middle-Distance Races

  1. 800 Meters:

Long-Distance Races

  1. 3000 Meters:

  3. 10,000 Meters: Equivalent to approximately 6.2 miles.
