NIGERIA TRADITIONAL DANCES

Some notable traditional dances from various Nigerian ethnic groups:

1. Bata Dance: Energetic dance involving rapid movements of the legs and arms. Its often performed during religious festivals and ceremonies honoring Sango, the god of thunder. Bata drums, known for their distinctive double-headed shape.
2. Egungun Dance: Masked dance performed by masqueraders representing ancestral spirits. It's honors and celebrates ancestors, believed to protect and guide the living.
