WATER TRANSPORTAION

This is the mode of transport that involves moving goods from one place to other on the water. Vehicles such as boats, ferry, ships, vessels, submarines are used in water transportation

 

MERITS OF WATER TRANSPORTATION

1. it requires less maintenance cost
2. it is useful especially for bulky and large goods
3. it is cheap compared to rail and road transportation
4. it is useful during natural calamities
5. It is useful for foreign and international trades

 

DEMERITS OF AIR TRANSPORTATION

1. It is the slowest in speed
2. it is riskier compared to other means of transportation
