WAREHOUSING DOCUMENTS II
The following are the uses of each warehousing document:
- Purchase Orders (PO): It is used to initiate the purchase of goods from suppliers, specifying details such as quantities, prices, and delivery terms.
- Goods Receipt Note (GRN): Is used to confirm the receipt of goods from suppliers, documenting details such as quantity received, condition of goods, and any discrepancies.
- Warehouse Receipt (WR): Issued by the warehouse to acknowledge receipt of goods into storage, serving as proof of ownership and facilitating inventory management.
- Stock Transfer Note (STN): Used to record the transfer of goods between warehouse locations within the same company, documenting quantities and destinations.
- Picking List: Guides warehouse staff in picking items from inventory to fulfill customer orders, providing details like item codes, quantities, and locations.
- Packing List: Details the contents of each package or shipment, aiding in accurate packing and ensuring all items are included in the shipment.
- Delivery Note (DN): Accompanies goods being shipped to customers, providing details of the shipment, sender, receiver, and any special delivery instructions.
- Invoice: Requests payment from buyers for goods or services provided, detailing prices, quantities, payment terms, taxes, and discounts.
- Inventory Report: Provides an overview of current stock levels in the warehouse, including quantities on hand, locations, and any discrepancies or adjustments.
