CLOTHING THE FAMILY

CLOTHING are items (as of cloth) designed to be worn to cover the body.

FUNCTIONS OF CLOTHING

  1. Protection

These types of clothing can protect an individual by wearing a safety hat, safety glasses, etc.. It can save you from being hurt or freezing to death

  1. Modesty

Modesty is when one specific culture or more prevents parts of their body to be exposed.

  1. Identification

Identification is where a unique style of clothing is identified by you, the individual.

  1. Status

Status is where a relative social, professional and/or other standing someone or something. Dressing to show one’s status is one of the functions of clothing.

  1. Professional

Professional is the same thing as status. Professional often wears a white collar, a red collar and a blue collar. A white collar represents the upper class which the careers for this are Nurses, Doctors, Lawyers and others while blue collar and red collars are often the Policeman and Firefighters.

  1. Warmth

Warmth is where a quality, state or sensation of being warm. It can make you very comfortable and cozy. In winter, you might wear a very cozy warm winter jacket, boots, pants and etc. While in the summer, the sun's heat would just make you warm.
