FIRST AID

First aid is the initial assistance or medical treatment given to a person who has been injured or suddenly taken ill. It aims to stabilize the patient's condition and prevent further harm until professional medical help can be obtained.

The objectives of first aid are:

1. Preserve life: The primary goal of first aid is to save lives by providing immediate medical assistance to individuals who are injured or suddenly taken ill.
2. Prevent further harm: First aid aims to prevent the patient's condition from worsening by stabilizing injuries and minimizing the risk of complications.
3. Promote recovery: First aid measures help to promote the patient's recovery by providing appropriate care and support until professional medical help arrives.
4. Provide comfort: First aid includes providing comfort and reassurance to the patient, alleviating pain, and addressing emotional distress.
5. Preserve dignity: First aid respects the dignity and privacy of the patient while providing necessary medical assistance.

First aider
