CONTENT:

  1. Adjuncts are adverbials.
  2. They modify verbs, prepositional phrases, indefinite pronouns, and noun phrases.
  3. Examples:
    • He was in the house (Prepositional phrase of place)
    • They came for their lunch (Adjunct of reason)
    • He came quickly (Adjunct of manner)

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able to:
a. Define adjuncts and their function
b. Identify adjuncts of place and time in sentences
c. Use adjuncts of place and time in their own sentences
