CONTENT:

Adjuncts are adverbials.
They modify verbs, prepositional phrases, indefinite pronouns, and noun phrases.
Examples:
- He was in the house (Prepositional phrase of place)
- They came for their lunch (Adjunct of reason)
- He came quickly (Adjunct of manner)

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Learners should be able to:
a. Define adjuncts and their function
b. Identify adjuncts of place and time in sentences
c. Use adjuncts of place and time in their own sentences

SET INDUCTION: Teacher displays pictures of scenes (e.g., a market, a church, a classroom) and asks learners to describe where and when the actions are happening.
