• Understand the basic structure of both forms of creative writing.
• Begin writing their own short story, poem, or play.

PERIOD 1: Introduction to Creative Writing

   • Discuss the structure of each: Plot, Character, Setting, and Theme for plays; Verses, Language, and Imagery for poems.
2. Main Activity:
   • The teacher leads learners through an exercise where they identify the features of a short play and poem.
   • Learners are grouped and tasked with writing a short poem or a scene from a play using the features discussed.

PERIOD 2: Writing and Sharing Creative Works
