NOTE

CITIZENS AND ALIENS

Citizen is a native or naturalized member of a state or nation who

owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection.

 

While an alien is a person who is not a national of a given country

 

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CITIZENS AND ALIENS

  1. Citizens are permanent residents of their state. Aliens are temporary

residents.

  1. Citizens owe allegiance to their state. Aliens do not
  2. Citizens have political rights and can participate in the functioning of

government e.g vote during an election, contest for public offices, etc.

Aliens do not possess such right
