STUDENT’S

ACTIVITY

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher guide students to connect resistors in series

Students listens attentively to the teacher

STEP 2

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writes a summarized

note on the board

The students

copy the note in

their books

NOTE

SERIES AND PARALLEL CONNECTION I

Types of resistors

In a series connection of resistors, they are connected end-to-end, creating a single path for the current to flow through. The total resistance in a series circuit is the sum of the individual resistances.

Series connection

In a parallel connection of resistors, each resistor has both of its terminals connected to the corresponding terminals of other resistors, creating multiple paths for the current to flow through. The total resistance in a parallel circuit is less than the smallest individual resistance.

Parallel connection

EVALUATION: 1. What is the difference between the connection in series and the connection in parallel

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the students positively
