Uses of hand tools

Basically, the uses of hand tools are usually categorized by their functions:

  1. Marking and Measuring Tools:

   - Measuring dimensions of materials and objects.

   - Marking lines for cutting, drilling, or assembly.

   - Ensuring accuracy and precision in layout and construction tasks.

  1. Cutting and Boring Tools:

   - Cutting materials such as wood, metal, plastic, or fabric.

   - Creating holes or openings in various materials.

   - Shaping and sculpting surfaces through cutting or carving.

  1. Bench and Holding Tools:

   - Securing workpieces for cutting, drilling, or shaping.

   - Providing stability and support during assembly or finishing tasks.

   - Facilitating accurate and controlled work on a workbench or table.

  1. Fastening Tools:

   - Tightening or loosening screws, bolts, nuts, and other fasteners.

   - Holding materials together during assembly or repair work.

   - Ensuring proper connections and structural integrity in construction projects.

  1. Gripping and Holding Tools:

   - Grasping, holding, or manipulating objects and materials.
