TYPES OF TOURISM.

There are two types of tourism; Domestic and international tourism,

Domestic Tourism

Domestic tourism involves residents of a country traveling within their own country for leisure, business, or other purposes. It includes activities such as weekend getaways, visiting relatives, exploring national parks, and attending cultural events.

Significance of domestic tourism

  1. Domestic tourism contributes significantly to the economy by generating revenue for local businesses, hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, and tourist attractions.
  2. The demand for domestic tourism drives investment in infrastructure such as roads, airports, accommodations, and tourist facilities.
