NOTE

VALUES

Values are the esteemed quality of importance with which a person or

group gives in to certain ideas or belief accepted and maintained by

individual and the society they live in

Values points out things that are good and constructive that good

citizens should imbibe

 

TYPES OF VALUES

  1. Selflessness- This is the lack of preoccupation with one's own interests,

advancement, desires, etc., and attentiveness to those of others

  1. Diligence- This is the devoted and painstaking work and application to

accomplish an undertaking

  1. Discipline- This is putting one’s behaviour and temperament under

control

  1. Justice- This is the principle or ideal of just dealing or right action
  2. Contentment- Contentment is the state of being happy and satisfied
  3. Integrity- Integrity implies trustworthiness and incorruptibility to a

degree that one is incapable of being false to a trust, responsibility, or

pledge.

  1. Probity- It implies tried and proven honesty or integrity.
  2. Honesty- Honesty, speaking and acting truthfully, is more than not lying,

deceiving, stealing, or cheating

  1. Equity- The term “equity” refers to fairness and justice and is

distinguished from equality
