INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES:
STEP 1:

STEP 2:
The teacher introduces keywords (main ideas or terms) as important components of a summary. These are the words that encapsulate the most important aspects of the passage. The teacher shows examples of how keywords can be identified and used.

STEP 3:
The teacher explains how linking words, such as “first,” “second,” “furthermore,” “similarly,” etc., help in creating a coherent and logically organized summary.

STEP 4:
